Hi All, Now this may be not possible at all, I currently use Fenwicks to wash van etc but I think after years of use their is grime on it that I can not wash off. Hhence my question is it possible to T-Cut a Van?
I think T cut is fairly harsh. If you've tried the various proprietory caravan grime removers without any success, then if I were you I'd try Hob Brite - designed for ceramic hobs - but far gentler than T cut. Try it on a very small area first. We've used it to successfully remove scratch marks caused by a tree branch.
A caravan does not have the same thickness of layers of paint that a car does - T-cutcould take you throiugh to the bare metal in no time. Or so I've been told, never tried it.

I have always used t cut on caravans and had no problem in 15 years. Don't do it too often and be gentle with it.
Ah but Bill - You've got a Hymer (me too) and they have very thick paint!!
I was going to use T-Cut on the fibreglass front of my van as it's slightly oxidised. Unless anyone can recomend an alternative? Don't really want to spend loads on special marine fibreglass polish like I have seen advertised on the net.

I have now, but the two previous vans were an ABI Award and a sprite europa, neither of which were particularly well endowed with paint and T cut was still a viable proposition. The van before that was a De Reu a funny looking Belgian van with bobbled aluminium skin, putting any sort of polish or cleaner on that was a nightmare.

No do not use T-cut or any other cutting compound, caravan paint is not designed to be done with this stuff and it will remove paint, I learnt by experience and ended up painting the whole of the roof of our van as a result. OMF will give you the best advice on using Fenwicks which in my humble opinion is second to none!
tell you what i used to use on my old 1970s caravan . turtlewax hardshell wax .the green stuff like shoe polish. It used to take off all the black stains that nothing else touched and no damage , plus a nice water beading shine
Word of caution -- I disasterously tried bleach on roof once and it took the paint off ,had to paint it

Thanks in advance
Of coarse---- all things are possible---- miricles just take a little longer-----it all depends on the finish and work you expect to do----a little drop of that cleaner you already use on a cotton rag will do the job without damaging anything--OMF
