I have recently purchased an Abi Marauder, which I am very excited about, only thing is it doesn't have hot water or a shower and although it wont stop us using the caravan I was wondering how easy it is to install and how much it would cost.

My boyfriend is very handy and so as long as it was nothing to complex I'm sure he could manage it but he is more interested in his computers (I'm hoping that will change once we have gone away in it next weekend (YAY!!)) so its left to me to find out about these things.

If anyone could help please can you give me as much info as poss as I really have no clue!!!

Thank you muchly and happy caravaning xx

Hi Kat. I purchased a continental caravan which came with a 5ltr Electric Water Heater, which was to small for 2 showers so I purchased a Truma 10ltr Dual Water Heater and fitted that which was not that difficult. 3 things I thought were critical, 1)Position of water heater in relation to the axle, 2)Getting the "Template" in the right place for cutting the hole in the caravan wall for the waste fumes outlet, and 3)The Gas connection.
Other than that the job was fairly straight forward and for the last 5 years we have had no problems using Gas or Electric or both for short "fast heat up" times.
Good luck and it's not as eye straining as being on a PC.
Regards. KarlFritz
