Just got back from holiday and while hurridly dropping van off at storage drove off with breakaway cable still attatched the 2 hooks are still in place but hthe end that fastens to the brake has knocked back on but Im wondering should ther be some type of O ring for it to fit on to.

You can buy a new breakaway cable assembly complete with the fittings, rings etc at any caravan accessory shop for about £3-4.
