Can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove mastic?

There's a stray blob of it on the trailing edge of the Heki rooflight on my 'van. It hasn't gone rock hard - it's more like a bit of discarded chewing gum.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

hi the easiest way to remove is to gently use a plastic scraper then clean off with white spirit just be careful where you put your hands after playing with the spirit or you will end up with white fingermarks everywhere bye for now paddy

The easiest way to remove any type of mastic or silicone is with a can of WD40.

Spray some onto the area and leave for two minutes and the mastic will peel off.

Also works on mastic/silicone on clothes.
