ABI Marauder 500 ct 1990.  Non of the caravans 12v electrics work when the caravan is not connected to 240v hook up. When it is connected everything works as normal. I have checked all the fuses and they are all ok. On the control panel the indicator for the battery doesn't show anything unless connected to 240v supply.  Can anyone please give me any advice on what i can do to fix this.

is there a switch somewhere, for car/middle/van

If so, make sure its switched to van, the middle may well be for running 12V from the charger/12V battery.

Have you also checked if there is an inline fuse just after the battery, if so it may have gone, and you could have a flat battery as well. it doesnt sound like a problem with the system given that it runs when on EHU.

thanks for post tim.  i have checked the switch car/middle/van and its the same. batery is ok have checked. Will check to see if there is an inline fuse. thanks for advice. off to work now so i will have to check in the a m when i get home.

my mates just had the same problem with his abbey gt,everything worked fine lights pump ect when connected to the mains nothing when disconnected,his was the main earth wire to the zig,he could not find the problem so he ran an earth from the battery to the zig everything is ok now ,may be worth checking on yours.
