....I thought home was the bunk behind me drivers seat or in the trailer!
Funny how even after all these years I still get the odd yearning to be back in the cab of a tryck heading all over with just the wireless and CB to keep me company - the good old days!
Thanks for your kind offer. I dont know that it will do much good as the van went on sale late this afternoon and I seem have fallen for it big time. (My heart usually rules my head). I will be having a proper look tomoorrow. It is an ABI Jubilee Envoy and I am getting so excited about actually being able to go inside it.
It went on sale at the weekend for £2450 which they said was £200 under the book price. That was more than I wanted to pay
I really liked the layout but I had a crisis of confidence about caravaning in general. I I had fallen off a step ladder in the morning while trying to paint the new wood on my garage roof, so my mind was full of how stupid I was and how if I got a van I would probable blow it and me up or something. They told me just to walk away since I wasnt all excited by it.
I hope you didn't hurt yourself falling - it's easily done especially when painting, I've done it leaning over trying to reach that last inch rather than get down and move the steps!
As to the ABI, it does seem a bit expensive for a caravan with known damp damage. If you get a copy of Practical Caravan magazine theres a big section at the back which shows the different layouts. They only list the modern vans but it gave me an idea of what is available and helped me narrow down what I wanted.
Don't give up, if you keep looking you'll find one. My Adria seemed to shout "Buy Me, I'm the one" as soon as I went in. I'm sure you'll find something that will just 'feel' right.
