Maplin's are knocking one out for £99.99, reduced from £149.99.
     They say it'll remove 7 litres of water per day. That'll take care of one of my problem spots

     Are they any good and do they do what it says on the tin? Did think about hiring one back when we first found the problem but the cost was more than the one above. Also they were like Hen's teeth at the time and couldn't find one anyway. All those poor souls who had got flooded out needed them more than me.
     So, a worthwhile investment or not?

They really do work, it's amazing how much water they churn out.  We use them all the time in our Guide Hall, and DD has one in her flat as her bathroom has no window and only a feeble extractor fan.

Just check it has sufficient capacity for your needs.

     I want to make sure the caravan dries right out. Thought it had when I resealed the problem areas but I'm a bit paranoid now whenever I get a reading on the damp meter. Also need 5 miles of cable to connect it up at the storage yard
     Seriously, if I thought they really were that good it would be a minor inconvenience to park the van on the drive for a week or two and may well be worth it just for peace of mind. Thanks for your info.

I've never had or used one in 30+ years of caravanning.

If you've no leaks or left the caravan damp after a wet out leaving wet awnings coats etc in it then it'll be as dry at the end of the winter as the beginning.

A couple of hours with the heater on to warm/air it on arrival at site is all it needs in my opinion.
