Hi i've got an electrolux 3 way fridge thats not working! tried turning upside down, shaking, you name it it wont work on any. I now need to remove it and i'm not fitting a 3 fay fridge back in, can you tell me how to disconnect the gas? Is it just turning the tap off under the fridge and disconecting the pipes from the top (Near ignition) or does it have to be done proffesionaly? Thanxs.

personally i would cap it off as well as turning of the isolator (just in case someone turns it on be mistake)

you may need to fill in the flue outlet as well.

Agree with capping it off, this must be done so no possibility of someone turning the tap back on to cause a massive 'leak' !! At the end of the day it must be 'gas tight' and that for peace of mind might need checking professionally.

Caps are available from B&Q but the smallest to my knowledge is 8mm (5/16") and fridges are often 1/4" or even 3/16" so you will need to hunt further for one, Or you maybe able to change a 'tee' off connection to the fridge under the van to a 'straight' connection and isolate it that way.

Thanks for all your help guys, Roped my father in-law in to cap it off properly for me he used to be a gas engineer a long time ago so he can do a better job than me! I like to do things myself the satisfaction of seeing the van come along is great but sometimes its better to be safe than sorry!!
