has anybody tried a humidifier for getting rid of damp ?

if so does it work or is it a waste of money.

I think you mean a dehumidifier if you want to get rid of damp, humidifier puts moisture into the air.  Have a dehumidifier at home and it is very efficient at getting rid of moisture in the air.

A big bag of salt does the same job if not better. Put about an inch in the bottom of a plastic bowl and keep checking it.

tried salt it's ok for damp in the air but iv'e had a leak through roof vent and damp is in side wall &rear of van
