last week (wed) i put a dehumidifer in my van which after i had a damp report done the readings were quite high 25%inshower /18%rear window/door/front window rest of the van was between 12/14% i used an AIRFORCE GPCN which i purchased from b&q last year (thought it was just a air condition unit but it was also a dehumidifier ) well on wednesday after sealing all the vents (including the eight on the floor you have to do these from underneath) i switch it on it was blowing out cold air well i shut the door and got on with resealing the bottom rail 4hours later i went into the van to check it well stone me it was so hot in there it steamed my glasses up and there was a very bad smell of damp oh well back to the rail hell of a job had to drill every screw all the mastic cleaned off rail refitted it's 5 pm just getting dark time to go home had to switch off the unit as the power is shut off at night (doing it at work)

thursday

emptied the dehumidifier got about 4 litres of water out time to switch it on again and get on with the other rail the first one took all day this one was easier about 4 hours i then started on the middle seams got one done time to go home again

friday

emptied it again about 2litres this time sugar ment  to be on holiday the boss is a driver short got to deliver a load to worksop so no work on the caravan today just leave the unit on

saturday

went to van to check empty unit there's nothing in it (did someone turn it off by mistake)got the damp meter out to check van every thing is quiet is it working tried it on a damp sponge it screamed it's head off checked all the van out only got one little beep by the front window
