Hiya, Fairly new to caravanning, have an Abbey Stafford 1989 (as you can see it's rather old!). It's on a storage site in East Hoathly, East Sussex. Can anyone recommend a good mobile servicing company to me please.
We have only just purchased our caravan but will have it serviced soon as it is second hand and we are new to this and thought it would be good to get it checked.
caravan-tech Hurst green east sussex quoted us £135 +vat for mobile service in hastings Tel 01580 860260

Thanks for that, it's a lot cheaper than a quote I got earlier, which was £195 + VAT from a company called OZ Tech. Will give Caravan Tech a ring. Just hope when they do look at it they don't say it's not road worthy! Bang goes our holiday if that happens
Be careful here---is the £135 service better than the £195 service--so are you going to continue until you find the £50 service?--what you need to do is find out what actually constitutes a service--ask the service people what they will actually be doing-it would be best if you were actually there while they service it, you can see they do the work & they will be less likely to rip you off---for your money whatever you pay--you will want the brakes drums removed, linings & mechanism checked-wheel bearings removed & regreased--the hitch & shock absorber checked & greased & also obviously the interior checked for leaks & gas & electric checked-& rear lights-if your going to be towing any distance replace the tyres if you dont know their age--if it aint road worthy they can fix it for the price of the new parts+labour it may(or may not)need new wheel bearings-brake linings-front shock absorber etc--

Wow £95 is good, he obviously isn't in our area, but can you tell me how you found out about him? It's normally by word of mouth, but as we don't know any other caravaners it's hard to hear about these people.
