I might suggest the ducting has fell off one of the two outlets from the back of the Fanmaster and this would explain the first problem. The second is probably a combination of problems but in a nut shell it's down to it's age.

It's now 12 years old, assuming it's not been touched then it's ready for an overhaul. The fan motor is good for roughly 6 months use, not much in months but actually 4500 hours spread over the years. Once though on it's last legs it overloads and damages the control pcb and it packs up altogether, strange noises are it's way of giving you fair warning! as is tripping out for no good reason.

Sorry to be a pain but can you replace fans and bearings in caravan gas heaters that provide blown air heating from under the front seats of my Fleetwood Cavandish. Or, if not point me in the right direction of someone who can.  Many thanks from Dave.

I think I know what you mean but exactly which type of heater?

From what you say and without a normal gas fire it's a Carver P4, a Truma E1800 or 2200 or perhaps a Propex?

If the van has a normal gas fire then it's either just blown air from the gas fire or a Fanmaster for 240v heating as well? what sort of control switch does it use?, how big, what colour, any name on it?
