Hi

Hoping for a bit of advice please.

98 Bailey with mixer tap at kitchen sink.

Cold water pressure great, hot water barely dribbles through.

Had tap off to check for blockages, twisted pipes etc.

Following other threads turned bathroom hot tap on then kitchen hot tap - makes no difference at all.

Any ideas what else we could try please?

Is there any way of getting under the floor through a hatch/access panel maybe to see if pipes are twisted?

Reluctant to buy new tap if its likely to be something else.

Any help would be great, many thanks.

Leisa

Hi Leisa, I'm not an expert or even know what I'm doing really, but when I asked someone about the same problem, they advised that there may be an air lock in the system.  Just wiggle the pump about under the water container (switched of), this may help.  I was also told it may be my micro switch(!)  Good luck, but contact the wizard for more help, he's brilliant.

Try and open the tap so that both hot and cold flow out (central position is a good bet) . Cup your hand over the spout and you might be able to flush the cold water through the hot water sytem. Its an old plumbers trick for house water sytems and might just do it.

Be careful though or you might have a wet face! Try putting your hand inside a plastic bag before you cover the spout.

hi liesa, we changed our van at the end of last season,we went out striaght away to local site, just to see if everything worked, then we had the same problem as you. by the way it,s a 1998 bailey hunter, under the nearside bed we have our water heater and battery charger, just to the side of both we found a micro switch,if you turn it open till you hear it click,it might cure the problem, also try opening the switch all the way, best of luck,
