I need to renew the waste pipe on my Avondale Mayfly which is routed from the sink and disapears through a side panel and behind the oven (Rose Countess). It looks as if I have to remove the oven, any advice or problems I may have with this. ?
You shouldn't have to many problems removing the oven , just remember that you should be certain of what you are doing when working with gas and electrical connections . Have you thought of attaching some wire to the old pipe , then pulling the old pipe out leaving the wire going thro the hole , then attach the new pipe to the wire and pull thro ( may need some wiggling , but it's possible ) .
Another one you could try , is to find a bit of tight fitting plastic tube or a waste pipe joining tube and connect the old pipe to the new pipe underneath the caravan , then with someone feeding the pipe up thro the floor from underneath and someone slowly pulling the old pipe out from above it should be easy to get the new pipe thro . Make sure you have a really tight fit on the tube , even araldite it together , then when you have the new pipe thro just cut off the bit with the araldite in it .
