We have had a crisis over the weekend with our awning got dragged over the top of the caravan and one of the awning poles has put a little dent with a hole through the panel. we have put duck tape over the hole.
our question seeking his most experienced lordships answer is, is there anything we can use to fill the hole. Mark has looked at plastic padding from halfords or liquid steel to fill and smooth it over.
we would appreciate yours and anybody elses advice in our moment of crisis.
they did us no good , the whole thing was ripped out of the awrning channel realy screwed the van , but the awrning only ended up with a bent pole and a very little 5p sized tear
a major big hug for you all, just a quickie though, the duck tape we used to cover it how quickly do we need to get it off or could it wait till the weekend.
i should think it would be ok just remember tot ake off all the glue the tape it leaves behind and you should be ok id also put a bit of silicon in the hole before you put a reflector on it and remember to do both sides as it will look odd otherwise
Hi Elizabeth , what size hole / dent do you have on the side of the caravan . You could cover with a vent cover like these Click_here Or as others have suggested a reflector . Do make sure you use caravan mastic and not silicone sealant . You could also do what Emmo suggests and fill with Plastic padding then spray .
