Hi does anyone in the west midlands know anyone who does mobile servicing . i have a bailey loire and could do with it being serviced at home on one of my rest days from work (work 24/6 on shift) thanx
Always use an National Caravan Council Approved Mobile Service Engineer. These workshops all meet the industries standards and are assessed annually.
You can find a Mobile Engineer on the 'Jones-Vening' search engine.
There is another self appointed organisation that goes by the name of MCEA. However, as their standards are only regulated by the person who runs the 5 day course, I wouldn't let one of these guys service my wheel barrow, let alone a caravan.
dave, there are some that are good enginers that are at the mcea trained , some of there guys have over 15 years experience in servicing vans , but there may be some bad apples in the pack,
There are some that are very well above the mcea standard , that have full correct gas training, electrical training and have full nvq and city and guilds cirt .
not all enginers like me are willing to pay jones vening to be assesed and then pay to join the caravan council. my customers wouldnt like me to charge a extra £15 +vat for me to put the ncc symbol on my invoices,
I leave the bigger service agents like glossop caravans and lowdham to pay for all that , then we pick up all there lost and upset customers ( see current posts about glossop for current satisfaction levels)with a truly personal service that cares
there a a few bad apples among the ncc scheme also
a plus for us wouldnt you say
