Hi all -

I have searched the previous posts and tried the Stove and Seals web sites but can't find any current information so grateful of any help.

Just back from weekend away and noticed a smell of burning plastic when using the oven. This was due to the top of the rubber seal on the oven door having gone missing. About 4", don't know when it happened or where it has gone but the heat escaping was burning the top of the grill.

Is this a particular type of rubber seal to work at temperature?, I have looked at the seals site but without knowing the exact product code it does not seem to help.

Also how do you remove old seal, is their a particular solvant to use? The oven is a Stove Vanette 2200 in an Abbey Freestyle 1999.

Hi -

For information - update to last post. Just been to fit new seal to oven in van and its the wrong type. Listed on their web site under Vanette 2200 and described as "universal" but the fittings are all wrong so will be sending back.

So - Any ideas where you can get the correct one. Emailed Stove over a week ago but no response.
