hello we have a autosleeper clubman motorhome last year we had problems with the gas we were told to buy a new regulator which we did that solved the problem the same thing has happened again this year. no gas getting through do we have to buy a new regulator every year we had a caravan for years and never had to change the regulator the only differeance was we then used the blue bottle gas but are now useing the orange bottle [well we would if we could]what are we doing wrong any suggestions please jo
you could have another regulator problem, we had the same on ours our dealer gave me a seperate fitting basically a elbow fitting which sat the gas pipe slightly higher up, this i was told stopped the oil reisdue getting into the regulator and blocking it again, not had any toruble up to now, if your van is still under warranty go to or phone dealers up they all know about the problem...
------------- lifes too short to be sad
Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
as i understand the regulators are being replaced for free for caravans with this problem, your motorhome is the first one i have heard of,there must be more.no one has the answer as yet but stainless steel pipes seems to cure it. some say its the pipes and others the gas.there is a oily sludge produced and this blocks the regulator.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I remounted mine in a higher position , no problems since , see http://www.1carpc.co.uk/wcdr/members-temp-pic.htm for pictures , note the regulator height difference compared to the gas bottle strap holder .
hello all thanks for all your replys and tips on how to correct this problem don,t know which way we shall go first but will get there in the end i.m sure sadly if its anything other than changing the regulator i shall have to take it to a dealer to fix andlook forwardto a nice bill happy touring to all
it is most likly the regulator, I have a file on the outcome of looking into the problem if anyone wants a copy I can e-mail it to them.
basically there are 2 options, mount the regulator higher up, ie above the bottle, it can then drain back to the bottle, or use gaslowes stainless hoses.
its basically a reaction between the high pressure gas that releases plasticiser from the rubber hose, which then blocks the regulator.
