I know how good you guys have been when i had a problem in the past so im hoping you can help me. Thanks donna x

could be a non return valve playing up,if this is sticking the cold water cannot push out the hot,or there could be a split in in the pump pipe,or the washers on the pump fitting outside are leaking giving a reduced pressure.spitting is usually a pressure drop from somewhere. non return valve 10 on dia.

I agree with Michael,I had this problem and popped in a new non return valve costing a couple of pounds the job was easy to do, just make sure its the bottom non return valve [inside the caravan],you could try and back fill it with a hose to blast out the scale but this didnt work with mine also I didnt have to take out the unit to do the job and I think you will need a 20mm spanner for the job.

you can test to see if its the non return valve.set up as normal as if you were going to fill up as normal.take out the drain plug on the carver and get someone to switch on the pump for about 30 seconds, water should gush out of the drain.if its only slow or a trickle that means the non retrurn valve is blocking the water coming in.i cured mine with a 10 inch water colour brush.i set the pump running and pushed the valve back up with the brush through the drain hole on the carver.this made the water gush out of the drain.never had any problems after that.worth a try.
