If the worst comes to worse then I would cut a panel in the floor, using a circular saw, along the center of the joists, if they can be seen by the screw heads, set the saw to about 5mm. Then place batten in the floor about 30cm apart to restrengthen the floor, screw the floor back down or replace with new.

Have just finished doing mine and finished it with expanding foam. If you have a large area affected delam kits may not be enough and are more expensive tham foam. Floor is now solid.

Hi, Mini personally I would still go with the delamination kit as that expanding foam is a total b*****d to work with and makes a helluva mess I would ask Wizard which is best.

just removed all the foam from the existing holes and using a hook to lift the floor (because it bows) i think im better of to go with the expanding foam because it looks like most of the existing foam and foam someone else has used before is vertually none existant.

therefore if i use expanding foam while the wife puts the hook into the holes and pulls the floor up the foam will fill where its needed.

from what iv read (and iv read alot, i always like to read up before atempting something iv never done before) the resin is good for when the delamination first shows signs but has this has been apemted to be repaired before and looks like its been a bad job and left too long i need to replace the foam thats gone flat so to speak.

i will try to post some pics of the floor has it is now and when i have finished.

Make sure you leave a small hole for excess foam to escape if it expands too much, then just cut it off at ground level afterwards. Alot cheaper than Delam kits and covers larger area. It doesnt go off in the pot like delam kits either!!

Good Luck

done most of the floor now

put hook in, wife pulled on hook to lift floor while i sprayed the foam watched loads come out other holes lol

then moved to new hole etc etc.

ran out of foam so need to get some more tomorrow.

i havent put any weight on top just left it with foam coming out the holes.

did notice the floor pump up while i was spraying :)

will finish all tomorrow when i get some more (get it free from work ).
