Questions like that are very valid, but also reiterate the need for getting the job done by a professional.

It always amazes me that people pay thousands of pounds for a caravan in which they intend to spend quality holidaying time, but yet seek to try and save a few quid, and potentially damage their investment by doing important repairs like re-seals themselves.

Good luck

the sides and roof made from alloy material does not like the chemicals in silicone and can be damaged.

Hi

I have resealed all the rails and windows on my last 2 caravans and its really easy.Their is a guy on this forum called the wizard who has his own web site and its brilliant.Easy to follow instructions.I use W4 Mastic Sealing Strip,it comes in 3 sizes and can be brought from most caravan shops. The most important thing is to make sure that the old seal is completely removed from the rail and caravan before applying the new seal.Cant see the point in paying lots of money out to someone when the job is so simple to do.
