i have a abbey gts212 and one of the side window seals has seen better days and the 3 front windows could do with replacing while i'am at it.

does anyone know of any pitfalls in doing it yourself.

and can anyone recomend any supplyer of said seals

There is a place in Warwickshire called Seals Direct, sorry I cant do you a link, Google it. I've done it meself, it's a piece of cake. Good luck.

Hi Jez,

It is not often that Michael and Wizard get an answer in at exactly the same minute!!

The main thing is to clean up properly after you remove the seals, so that the new mastic gets a good grip!

hi wizard

thanks for the link. looking at them now it's the same as a car windscreen i suppose. my son and i, last year striped down a mk1 golf to the body shell and we had to take out all the windows before it was resprayed. so with a little care and attention i think it should be pretty steady going.

I've just done mine I followed wizard and al's page but bought the seal from a local caravan dealers to save on postage I saved a fortune as the repair guys wanted £28 a mtr
