The roof vent over the kitchen of our swift challanger has broken off .Its the part that pushes up and for the winter we have had to strap it down. My question is do we have to replace all the vent or can we replace just the broken section?
Some more pictures for you, Click Here. I decided on a Mini Heki to let more light in over the kitchen area, what a difference it has made. As mentioned the cost difference for a new one and a replacement dome is not that much, so personally I would go for a new unit.
Ive got a 400 x 400mm mpk one on ebay at the moment with a start price of £25 its one i took off a new van to fit an omnivent.
Its the same as the one in michaels pic above.
Its open to offers over £25 + delivery, as theres 4 people watching it at the moment.
Send me an email if you want it, if your close enough i'll even fit it for you

Good info here, and I thought about a mini heki myself, the original skylight was pretty dirty, and half the battle was that the dirt was inaccessable! I took the skylight off, it was only 4 screws, then took it apart, and cleaned with a neat solution of Mr.Fenwicks. Half an hour later it was all back together again and as good as new!
This is now one of my "spring clean" items that I do once a year.
Of course this does not fix a broken skylight, but I have heard of many people replacing manky ones!
