My 1993 Port Potti (ModelCassette PP C2 R) has recently stopped flushing water into the loo.

Does anyone know a likely cause or cure. I am reasonably able to fix things but would like to hear of other people's experience in sorting out this problem.

Thanks

could be the pump but check the fuse first.remove the cassette outside and look into the locker opening.right at the back is a fuse holder, most times this is the problem.the fuse will blow if the pump is stuck.odd times you can take it out and mover the impeller with a small screwdriver and WD 40.

Thanks for the advice. I locatedthe fuse and it had blown. For some reason the pump still did not work so I checked switches and contacts, all of which seemed OK but still no action.

In the end I took out the toilet roll cover to get at the pump, gave everything a wriggle and the flush is working again!

Still not quite sure what caused the trouble but am glad it is cured, at least for the time being. The Porta Potti photos were excellent.

Thanks again.

Hi i had same problem with my old van and found that it was dirt that was the problem i cleaned it out and replaced the fuse and had no more problems after

that, also do you put some sterilising fluid in with the pink as i was told that this lubricates the pump and save the sticking problem when you leave the van over winter.
