was a way for a week last week and came to start the fridge it failed so tried the cooker that failed, checked the gas taps they was on, checked the bottle was ok still full. Took pipe of reg to see if there wad gas coming out all ok. Still no gas getting to the fridge or cooker, so tried the fire that worked.
The fire is the first off the bottle and then feeds to the cooker and fridge, but no gas at that end so gave up went to bed next day thought i try again with cooker it worked and so did the fridge.
So what has caused this ? and how can i stop it from happening again..
all the taps was open the gas bottle was warm the gas fire worked the cooker did not the fridge did not same pipe why was the bit betwen the fire and cooker not passing the gas! till the next day.
My guess is oil from the bottle is laying in a low point in the pipework beyond the fire. Being fluid it can completely block or only partly block the pipe at will, all it needs is a tiny variation in the angle of the van.
exactly the same happened to me... cooker, heater or water heater would not work... gave up went to the pub... came back couple of hours later and everything worked fine?!?!?!? could it be some sort of air lock?
the whole pipe from the front box goes under the van outside then pops up where it`s needed inside.
Like firs toff is the water heater then the gas fire then the cooker and fridge.
