hi i took the tow hitch off and had a look  ,i dont think there is anything that can be done to stop the hitch from scratching the ball it seems that most of the force when towing goes through the front of the hitch /ball where there is metal to metal contact unless this is lubricated which it cant be the ball is going to get scratches/grooves in it so i suppose we just have to put up with clening and smoothing the ball every trip. by the way i might leave the tow hitch off till spring it will make the van a bit harder for anyone to tow away

 Mmmmm !

Very Worrying Post This

Ever thought of TAKING LESSONS ?

Why should someone have to take lessons because he never reverses or turns sharp corners?

I know people who cannot reverse a car properly let alone one towing a caravan.

I think your post is insulting.

lobey any post from big al that isnt an insult would worry me

look I can tow and yes i can go round corners, okay regarding reversing the unit I can do it as I did go into an empty carpark and have a play, i just dont like reversing and am going to fit a mover anyway.

Hi Michael - no reply from Alko - I guess they must be sat in their office scratching their heads or keeping quiet hoping I'll go away!
Anyone out there have a contact at an Alko service centre who might be able to shed some light on this little puzzle for us all?

Mmmm.............. Cheers For That Jock Al

Still a little bit worrying that you find it so difficult to go Astern !

So what happens when you overshoot a campsite entrance that you have never been to before ?

Any way I'm safe cos I only go camping in Yorkshire !
