just had 5 weeks away working in gloucs.stayed in the caravan.went to the storage yard today to empty out my belongings and noticed the front window catches were all lifting up.its done this before but now lifting higher. my fear they will lift and let the windows fly open whilst towing.any ideas can they be adjusted, do they need replacing, or can i get some type of lock.

If I remember right, some of the fixed catch plates have slotted mounting holes and can be adjusted (tightened up), if not a few minutes with a round file or a drill bit might elongate the holes enough to give some adjustment - probably!

the base plate is adjustable as a rule,failing this you could drill through the L shaped lock handle when locked and through the base plate and fit a very thin split pin.

You can just about see in this photo the up-down adjustment in the screws

If the screws were slack then it would go up as your message suggests, I would close the window and push the catch down tight then tighten the screws, but be careful and don't overtighten and crack the window!!
