I've just decided to fit a Zig water guage to the onboard tank of my bessacarr 600glx. The S/H gauge and sender came from a bessacarr ( Wish I'd bought the tank too ), but the wiring has me a little baffled. The 'push red button to view ' gauge has, red, blk,+ yellow wires, the 2 prong sender has 2 yellow wires. Any ideas?? I daresay I'll get there in the end, but if any one knows how to wire this I'd really appreciate some help!

Suggest finding out what the different coloured wires are doing with a multimeter.
My best guess would be that the red and black are the 12v +ve and -ve supply and the yellows are the the variable resistance which provides the value to the guage.
Again, I stress 'guess'. so don't connect them up this way till you have checked the wires out as suggested.
Well as I'm currently sitting in my Bessacar, red and black will be 12v supply, one of the yellows from the sender appears to go to the yellow wire from the gauge, that's it I can't see where the other yellow goes....
The two yellows at the sender change to brown and black and disappear into the loom, they or at least one appears to reappear by the gauge back in yellow.
If I was to make a guess the black from the sender will go to earth, the brown then change back to yellow and on to the gauge. As both sender wires start off as yellow I don't think it will matter which goes where
Thanks peeps. Will have a play later today if it gets above freezing, or more likely sit in the warm with a bucket, meter, 12v supply, croc clips, soldering gun, and various bits of wire, with one eye on the telly!
