The left hand indicator on my 2008 Compass Corona Club blew, I replaced the lamp and it blew the first time of checking. The rear side light is also out but all other lights are working. I think there may be a problem with the side light causing the indicator to blow and would be grateful for any advice on how to trace the fault and fix it.

I recently had a problem with the lights on one side of the van not working. Checked on another car and it was ok. Got the garage to investigate the towing electrics on the car and they found the problem, some corrosion on the connections.

sounds like an earth/negative fault.possible water ingress into the light.

  Hi

  is van nut under warranty if it,s 2008 and if you tamper with it ??

  I know if it was a car you would have to go to dealers ?

Maybe there isn't a fault. For a new bulb to fail it must be getting more than 12v, even with an earth fault this is not possible. If the second bulb has actually blown, then it could be as simple as a faulty replacement bulb. It does happen.

If the indicator is simply not working, then it is more complicated, an earth fault or a faulty connection somewhere along the line of connections from the car. A multimeter and plenty of patience will find the fault.
