 why in this day and age there is not enough electric sockets to cope with the all the apliances that you use while your away i mean about sat,freeview. tv, microwave kids games,ect,    theres not enough sockets to use . iv had to make more sockets to cope with the increasing demand.

 so why do the makers only give about 2/3 sockets to use even new caravans.

We do the same as Kenles suggests because it would not be practical to have enough sockets built into the van. I use a 4 gang trailing socket but I shortened the lead to make it tidier

The manufacturer will only supply the basic number to save on cost.

The slight benifit is that the campsite EHU will cope with a 'sensible' load.
