Hi Chris, the price is about right for the shoes, sounds like they've been over adjusted best to get them changed and adjusted by a caravan engineer.

sounds like a sticking non return valve.this is found where the water pipe enters the van and screwed into the caraver 2 water heater. its inside the end of the pipe.the other thing is that can fool most and has got me a few times.when the pump is running and the green light is on but no water is present,it is an air lock in the pump itself.turn off and remove the pump completely.put it back into the water first and then the caravan socket. click on

ok one way to test as i found out when my non return valve stuck in winter time is,if you have the carver 2 water heater that is.set everything up as normal ready to get water to the taps.remove the drain plug outside and get someone to switch on the pump for a minute or two (will do no harm) if water is trickling out of the drain hole this means the non return valve is obstructed in some way.if water is gushing out the non return valve is ok. if no water present then the non return is blocked.what happens is when the tiny drop of water left in the pipe freezes it pushes the non return valve down so it is not able to operate.i freed mine off with a 12 inch water colour brush.with the drain plug out and the pump running i gently pushed the brush up the drain hole and this released the non return and water started gushing out.it was fine for years after that.not saying it will work every time.another symptom of non return trouble is when you have cold water tap running slow and no water coming out of the hot taps, this means no cold water is going into the water heater.
