Hi guys I am from the otherside( motorhomes) I have some damp issues in my motorhome it,s a talbot merlin my question is can 3mm MDF be used in place of plywood.

I would be very grateful of a reply I have been reading and following some of the posting,s here and they absolutely fascinate me sooooo much content WOW.

So much so you lot have prompted me to keep Merlin for another year.

Yep , agree with Taxater , don't use mdf stick to plywood .

Better to use faced 3mm ply wallboard, if you can get a matching or similar pattern.  Try your local dealer or O'Leary MH near Hull or Magnum MHs near Grimsby.

Well guy,s being a builder I should be able to source 3mm ply no probs , just thought i would ask the question as to the preferred boarding and now i got the answer.

I think I will go with plain plywood because I have a pal who is wiz carpet fitter and we may go down the route of a faux suede finish what do you guy,s think.

Well everybody is making the right noises, mdf, no no no, if it was usable i'm sure the caravan manufacturers would be using it already to save costs, as it is its totally useless in a damp environment, & chipboard is no better, its ply or better still marine ply only for caravans & motor homes, or any where where there is a chance of a spillage even.

try this guy he has verything you could think of you can buy direct without going through ebay £15.00 for 7 by 4 3mm in all sorts of colours
