Hi Can anyone tell me if I can replace the whale mixer tap in kitchen with a different cheaper make or with a home tap set? The whale ones are so expensive. I realise I would have to make a plate for them but would the tap actually work?

Are the taps leaking or just the spout?  If the latter, these are cheap and easy to replace.

one tap has snapped and I think it is leaking at the base of the spout

On Ebay, you can find a Whale Elegance mixer tap for around £40.  If it's just a broken tap stem and spout, these can be purchased separately.  Look under Campers, Caravans and Motorhomes.
