Can anyone advise what needs to be done to convert my 2006 Coachman Amara from butane to propane.

Don't know the model but assuming you have a built in regulator you probably just need to change the hose.

The regulator has to be changed to a red one for Propane as it is a different fitting and pressure. You might also want to consider switching to the BP lights, I have them and they are half the weight of the Steel bottles.

Would have thought an 06 model would have the fitted universal regulator, in which case only need to change the hose. If not then you need to change the regulator.

As previously mentioned all you need to do is change the 'pig tail' for one with a 'POL' fitting which then connacts to the Propane cylinder.

But if you want the facility to use both, I have one of these .

Subject to having the 30mb regulator, it allows you to change instantly between the two. Adapter simply connects to the Propane 'tail' which then connects to the Butane tank.

£8.76 including vat & postage.

You can convert your existing butane 'tail' to fit onto a Propane cylinder with one of these.

Probably the easiest solution. Available at most caravan supply shops.
