Hi,
I have a carver fire (3000 I think?), with the 12v truma blown air system, what would be the easiest way to convert this so I can have heating run via 240v instead of gas?, is there an element you can install to either, or can I replace the fire or fan for a type with a heating element?.
P.S. my fan is a little bit noisy on the current fan, not noticable during day time but noticiable when sleeping, is there a fix for this?.
Many thanks in advance,
Dale

Thank you all for the Reply's, i'll research what I need then get in contact with Gary,
P.S. Michael, thanks for the PDF's, those fire effect things for those truma heaters look cool!.
I've got to say 'looking cool' was not the intended effect lol
Anyway the Carver Fanmaster is the easiest option, given you already have blown air it's probably only a couple of hours work.
The Truma Ultraheat will fit but requires quite a lot more work, also as your fan appears ready for replacement the price goes up considerably from the base price, fans are well over £100!!
The Truma though can be used as a convector without a fan so that's an advantage over the Fanmaster whose fan is required all the time.

Gary,
How much would I be looking for a fanmaster kit?. I don't think my fan is that bad, my father has a truma one on his much newer autosleeper thats noisy, mine just makes a slow pulsed squeek when u switch it off or have it on really slow. Sounds like a burr or flat spot on the shaft or something lol.
Thanks,
Dale
