Hi

 

wonder if anyone can help, i have just bought a 2.0 TD Suzuki Grand Vitara, and wonder if anyone tows a Bailey Ranger 500/5 with this car??

Was just looking for some advice as to how this car tows the above caravan

can not help on the car,we have the 500/5 ranger and love it,to be safe on tow try to stick to 85% of kerb weight of car.the MTPLM of ours is 1272 kgs.its a 2003 model.experienced caravanners can tow up to 100% of kerb weight without a problem.we tow with a hyundai santa f'e v6 auto.

I have a Grand Vitara 2 litre petrol and find it tows my Swift Silhouette 2 berth extremely well, if that's any help.

and you enter your vehicle and caravan it gives you all the details needed, kerb weight, mph etc and what speeds to expect to go up to

I keep hearing people say that, but cannot imagine what the underlying logic is.   Surely you aren't suggesting that a van is less likely to snake if the driver is experienced?
