Hi all

have had to fit a new damper and a friend has said something about a 2mm rule or somethink i dont understand this any advice,

also we have had to have the brake shoes re-lined so have fitted it all, another friend said when jacked off the ground the wheel shouldnt move by hand? any advice on adjusting the brake shoes.

I would think that is wrong else you will end up heating the brake pads up. I would think that if they were just catching then that would be OK as they will bed in a little. I am sure somebody will be able to tell you exactly waht is the case soon. I have a van I bought new and the brakes did not hold the wheel when it was jacked up to move the wheel to fit the Alko wheel lock.

hi all

i dont think our system is alko, i think its knott.

i really havent got a clue what to do, and we are going away tommorow afternoon.

has anyone got any suggestions? the other thing is how to i adjust the 2mm gap thing, still havent got a clue, please help?

brakes should be ajusted up till you just feel them touching when you turn the wheel then backed off 1/4 turn
