Hi every one i have recently been camping on a site with no hook up ,as this is my first time without hookup its the first time i have tried to heat water up using gas , The heater works fine on 230v but will not operate on gas ,in the manual/handbook it states that you turn the dial to the "gas " mark this will then show a green light to indicate that the system is up and running or a red light to indicate that there is a fault .....
Mine has neither of these infact the switch does nt light up at all , if this is a fuse problem were would i find the relative fuse ? i have already tried in the fuse box all seems to be fine ! is there anybody HELP!!!!!
Truma here, the supplier of your appliance. Hopefully as you've said above you've resolved the problem you had. However, I noticed that you've mentioned that you're new to caravaning. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say welcome to the industry and that if your problem returns or you experience any issues with a Truma product, you can either take it to your nearest dealer or contact us direct on technical at trumauk.com or call 01283 586020.
When you forget to turn the gas on the red light shows instantly. I would say its an electrical fault as once you turn to gas the light comes on one way or another. You have rocked the switch and turned the dial haven't you.
------------- Good friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
On the top corner you will possible see 12 wires going in, one for the 12v and one for the remote thermostat. There are 2 screws on the top of that cover. Remove those and you will see the circuit board. On that board is a fuse, check that fuse out. If that fuse is OK check that there is 12v going into the unit. As you have no lights at all on the dial I would check it electrically 1st.
If as mentioned above the red light will come on if the cowl is left on.
