Returned to fixing van today after a busy few weeks away from it.
Have removed all the front seating already and have attempted to take the upper cupboards out.
However after removing screws it seems like they are bonded to the ceiling.
Is this correct and if so how do u remove lol

Hi mate , you'll find the cupboards are screwed / stapled from above , they can be a pita to remove , best i can suggest is to slide a hacksaw blade between the cupboard and ceiling , locate the screws/staples and saw thro them .

Hmm , good question , i haven't had to remove / refit cupboards myself . I would say , you will know where they have been held up as you'll be cutting thro the fixings , i would screw a L shaped brackets where the old fixings were ( hopefully you'll find the ceiling spars fairly easily , so you can screw into them ) , this should give you a strong fixing for the cupboards , you could also add some plastic cabinet fixing blocks here and there for even more strength .

Also noticed that parts of front seem to be srewed from the inside.....i dont have to remove the plastic front of the van do I?
No, you'll probably find the screws etc either hidden under a trim strip or inside the front locker .

Hi, i took out 3 overhead cupboards out of our van last week and the first was a pain as it was trial and error, i thought i had released all the fixings so it would just fall away but no it was stuck fast, then i realised it was fixed down through the ceiling boards in my case with ribbed panel pins, i managed to start at the one end and with a large flat chisel levered between the cupboard and the ceiling and pulled the pin heads through the ceiling board, then i found that i had still missed some fixing screws that were hidden under the inside base of the cupboard which lifted up and revealed more screws fixed through the cupboard framework into the caravan wall, hope this helps. Phil.
