What's the cheapest device that I can safely leave attached to the battery and plugged into the 240v supply to keep the battery charged up when attached to the mains?

There is a 240v 3 pin socket next to the battery.

Thanks,
Jim.

Ok, so any reason not to go for something at the cheapest end like this

That will only trickle charge at 0.5 amps, the one Michael has shown will charge up the battery and then reduce to a trickle charge.

as caz says, that will only keep the battery topped up, not charge it, the CTEC one miucheal points to will fully charge the battery first, then keep it topped up.

most van chargers will only charge up to 80% of the batteries capacity so to keep it in tip-top condition need a boost every now and then.

Hi Can the one Michael has posted be used as the permanent charger unit for the caravan, mine has recently died, and I need to find one to replace it, and this appears to be cheaper that alot on the market?

Does you know what amps it gives out my last one was 12amp.

Thanks
