Hi all just wondering if any of you could help me on the fixed round tv aerials fitted on the roof. I have just bought a second hand one cheap (off a scrapped van) and I thought I'd ask a couple of questions before I start drilling more holes into my van.
1 are they any good I.E. signal wise, good reception
2 do you need the booster that comes with it to work it (ie to actually get a signal)
3 if the booster does'nt work will any booster do (just in case it does'nt work)
sorry if they seem daft questions but all help will be appreciated. thanks in advance gang
oright r kid, i have the status on my van works superb here in southern ireland on vhf better than da telly in da house..just make sure the red light is on and wired correct..thanks
We use ours and have never had a problem with it and have excellent picture quality. Having said that people on the same site as us last year had the same aerial and couldn't get a picture yet we could. Think it can be abit hit or miss..

Same as us really. Works 90% of the time with excellent results. For the other 10% I have a portable satellite system. I certainly wouldn't say they were rubbish.
Thanks for the replies guys, but I am more confused now than ever lol (do I dont I) saying that I might just get a directional one just to be on the safe side (no messing about drilling holes then) Thanks again guys.
I've put a Vision Plus Image directional aerial on my van, the mounts and pole are maxview iirc, it takes seconds to fix the pole in the brackets on the van, plug in, point the right direction. perfect picture. If im in a poor signal area, I use the same pole with a sat dish on it.
