Hello all

Can someone help me..I have just bought an abi 2000 brooklyn 500-4 here in ireland after months of looking for a straight clean caravan that is reg with cris and clean...

The guy didnt drain the water system in this cold winter and on hooking water up both taps are leaking the kitchen long spout one and the vanity unit sink.

I have purchased and ordered two new taps pricey or what(whale elite mixer taps)

I have the vanity unit one off,I found the blue 12mm pipe came off ok but the red was really difficult,i have it off now but the red connection is still on the pipe ready to push up into the new tap.

My questions, does it matter which way you connect the 2 white wires on the microswitch as i have disconnected them under the sink ready for the new unit,2.Is there an easy way to remove the red pipe from the connector,it spins but w'ont release, and 3.How do i remove the long reach mixer tap unit in the kitchen, the space is really tight behind the sink,i can see light from the electrolux grill outside,do i remove this for access into the pipe work and the big plastic nut or is it easier to remove the sink..any help be appreciated...

Gary

see here at the bottom of the page.......

as you can see the whale has no red pipe attached to it.if you have enough pipe cut it off at the top and refit with a new clip.

Hi . We had same problem with our elite taps in a 2000 460/2. Bought replacement tap for vanity unit, fitted ok. All pipe fittings are push fit but do not seem to be standard size! Check that the pipes fit securely as the whale pump produces high pressure. Check often that the pipes have not parted company from the tap as the compartment could be flooded just like mine was! Only spares as I can see are replacement spout and microswitches! Both grossly overpriced!
