I have inherited an awning that has so many peg holes in the skirt that it could be used as a colander!  Ok that may be an exageration but only just.  I would like to repair some of the holes and tears in the plastic skirt and would appreciate any ideas on what to use.

hi Elaine u dont mention what make awning you have but whichever it is have you concidered contacting the makers to see what the repair would cost , also most awning supplyers have a local business that take on repair work

theres a lady near me but as im in west sussex i would think it wouldnt be viable

I got a awning with holes and a small rip in the skirt and I used McNett - Tenacious Tape, its clear so no colour match to worry about, it even fixed a small hole in the roof. Got mine off internet.

i would use patches to reinforce the area and make a proper hole made from the same stuff and glued on with some strong glue and a eyelet put in.
