CAn anyone help me please? Have just arrived home and we have had an accident - getting our van back up the drive passed 'the electric' box! :-( it has made a hole about 4  inches long through the side panel and has gone through to the polysterene interior but hasnt damaged the inside (gota be thankful for something!). It has dented the awning rim and my husband is currently trying to pop the rubber seal rim back in!

Anyone any experience or advice on this? did you claim off insurance? how much did it cost? we have a Bailey Pageant Series 6 (albeit now with a few non optional extras!)

Thanks in advance

Rachael

The only time, we had to claim on the insurance was when hubby hit the left side of van around the cluster lights ( he did hit a girder , while backing in )

At first it didnt look like to much damage at first, but we needed a whole new back end panel, cluster lights, and awning channel, and cost about £2,000.

Recently had a similar problem, took it to a company who repaired the panel, and i honestly cannot see any sign of the damage or the repair! They had my caravan for only 2 days, and it is now as good as new. Where abouts are you based?

Thanks for your help - I'm in Northern Ireland - I was looking last night and came across caravanmedic - My husband is in the car trade and has the car equivalent of automedic - his man thinks he might be able to fix it for us. Did you use caravanmedic by any chance? they don't operate here in NI :-(

Thanks

Rachael

PS have calmed and whilst a pain - no-one was hurt - things can always be worse!
