As title really, when you switch it on, it clicks a few times than you get a loud pop and the light switches to Red.
Eventually, it will fire up and run Ok.
There's planty of water, gas and the battery connections are good (fully charged battery.)
Can the ignitor get dirty and need cleaning? it's gone quite suddenly, it's worked faultlessly up 'till now.
It does sound like a problem with the burner or ignition electrode and this will need taking out to see.
You get at the burner near the wall on the left hand side, it's a plate held by three or four self tapping screws, the gas connection also needs releasing for the burner to slide out.
These screws can seize due to screwing into aluminium, you might find you need to work some of the screws loose and use a good penetrating oil such as Plus-Gas or even a little Diesel works really well, don't rely on WD40 though or you will probably end up snapping their heads off.
Nothing much to go wrong really, I'd carefully inspect the inside of the burner for a spiders web or the last one I did had a web complete with a large spider!!
Anything else amiss should be obvious but if you don't feel confident then get an expert in to do it.
Reassemble with a little copper slip on the screws and it will come out easy next time
It all looked a bit complicated when I took the front covering panel off.
It looks as though there's an electronic box thing that needs to come off to get at the burner assembly undereneath.
Funny thing is though, when I tested it a few times it lit first time, every time, without a problem so I do wonder if it was maybe just a poor connection on the multiplug.
I'll take all my tools with me when we go away this weekend and if it plays up, I'll take it apart then but if it contunues to work then so much the better!
