Hi i have just bought a used van, and was inspecting the wiring etc and have found that the wires etc are in need of sorting out, the charger unit i have is a Harmany electrics Type HM4V, thats all there is wrote on it, has anyone got a copy of the installation and users manual.

would be very grateful.

Not a lot to them really, it's a very crude power source rather than a battery charger, problem being it's output is 4amps at a nominal 12volt, this means dropping down to less than an amp at higher voltages and barely if at all suitable for actually 'charging' the battery.

The unit was made for different caravan manufactures, the 12v wiring outputs then will be specific to the make perhaps model of van it's in. Only the wiring from the 12S plug will be the same.
