first of all thanxxx to everyone who helped sort out my confusing charging problem dated 9/6/09.just to refresh you my zig x70 packed up a while back and i replaced it with a 3 stage amperor charging unit.which would still not power certain bit of van and battery.since then i narrowed it down to faulty relay(S).so decided to wire direct to battery terminals with a 25 amp inline fuse,when i fired it up all electrics work with or without battery connected.battery charges wonderfully,charger throws out 13.8-14.5 volts and automatically cuts in and out when needed.. also the amperor charging unit is reverse polarity protected,which im almost positive that the original x70 wasnt ,thanxxxx again...
