Hi.

First post... be gentle. :-)

Have had a good root through other threads, but haven't found answer... yet....

When I connect van to car with engine running and then go into van and switch fridge on, there is a click and the lights go off inside, plus the volt-meter switches off.

When I switch fridge off, the reverse happens.

Is this normal?

Only just noticed after got new tow-bar and lectrics on my new Mondeo (56 Titanium X 130 diesel hatch)

Any ideas?

Hello to you all, by the way. :-)

This sounds correct to me , you should only have the fridge working when the engine is running ( this applys more to newer caravans ).

Thanks for your reply wizard. Yes, ours is quite a new van, 2007 model.

I sort of thought that it may be normal, but electrics are not my strong point.

I think I'm just paranoid, after several problems with car and tow-bar since I got it 3 weeks ago. (all sorted now though, I hope)

I'm going to see if there's anyone's query I can answer now, so as to restore some karmic balance. ;-)

I've hooked it up and tried it all out, checking all the options and it all seems to make sense now.
