A question for the technical ones here. we've just recently had a new Pageant Provence series 7. We had a mover put on it along with a new 110 amp battery. When I picked the van up I asked the chap about the battery & he said it was fully charged. I had doubts about this but it got the van on the drive & I left it at that.
This week, 6 weeks after delivery, I went to check everything was Ok & the battery was as dead as a dodo. I caled the workshop to be infirmed the batteries aren't fully charged when fitted to the vans & it would need a charge.
I put it in my garage on charge for two days & then back on the van plugged in to the mains for two days. The gauge was showing 13.5 volts or thereabouts. I unplugged the van last night, realised this morning that I'd left the master switch on, went out just now & the battery guge is down to 13 volts now. The only other switch on the board that was on was the lights but I couldn't see if the bathroom light was on beause everything is on the floor waiting to be put away.
How long sould this battery remain usable after charging like I've done please??? I thought a big battery like 110amp should last a week on site & I'm wondering if I've got a dud battery.
Considering a large nimber of people must pick up their new van & go straight off to a site to use it, lots of people could end up with a flat battery first day out. We would have done.
Advice would be appreciated.
