Is it true that if your Ultraheat stops working on electric that it may have tripped and you have to empty the tank completly then refill to get it to work again.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

errr no! 'empty tank' mean the ultrastore water heater of which I don't care to know anything much of!!
But I do know you don't have to empty the tank, albeit if the water tanks full of hot water it would be useful to run the hot taps to cool the tank down and speed resetting up a bit
The trip is of the 'self hold' type, this means when it trips it of course disconnects the main water heating element, but also, to hold itself off once things cool down, it connects a tiny internal element to keep it hot and stop it resetting. There is therefore no button to press to reset it
So to reset it you need to switch off the mains supply to the heater, the internal element can then cool down and the trip resets automatically.
Sounds simple but, the problem is if you switch the mains back on to early, the internal element is still connected and that instantly re-heats.
Now you have to switch off again and wait the original time all over again plus some more time on top!
If you keep switching back to early then the damn thing will never reset!!!
On top of that some of them would seem to be faulty or at least a bit sluggish and only switch back over after several hours!!!
